At ELVI we are specialists in the design and manufacture of electric motors and geared motors, which we customize for our customers optimizing the design and technical characteristics for the specific application, in order to maximise their durability by reducing and consequently reducing energy consumption and the use of materials and simplifying the life of those who will use them in assembly and operation.
We deliver to customers what we promise and do our work with sobriety, punctuality and respect for people and the environment, rejecting the waste of resources and valuing personal attitudes. To this end, ELVI has implemented and implemented a Management System of Occupational Safety and Health and Environment with the following scope:
PRODUCTION (BY MECHANICAL PROCESSING, ASSEMBLY AND TESTING) OF PERMANENT MAGNET DIRECT CURRENT ELECTRIC MOTORS AND GEAR MOTORS
This management system shall in particular observe the following principles:
- Operate in full compliance with applicable European, national and regional regulations, regularly updating the assessment of their applicability;
- Make a targeted effort to eliminate hazards and reduce health and safety risks, thereby preventing occupational accidents and diseases;
- Continuous improvement of staff involvement and participation in achieving the objectives of the company policy, defined at various levels of the organization;
- Monitor and manage relevant environmental and occupational safety activities through a program of controls;
- Implement all organizational, operational and technological efforts to prevent water, air and soil pollution;
- Ensure that the causes of accidents or diseases are minimized and prevented and that all appropriate measures for the protection of the health and physical and mental integrity of workers are sought and implemented, with particular attention to work situations that may pose health and safety risks. With a view to preventing the needs of staff and protecting their psychophysical integrity, the organization pays particular attention to the working environment and relations with colleagues, by engaging in the consultation and participation of workers, including through their representatives;
- Ensure that respect for the environment, the reduction of energy consumption and the minimization of environmental impacts are considered as primary within the strategic policies of business development and minimize, where possible:
- The consumption of energy, water and raw materials, promoting their recovery where possible and adopting the best available technologies (BAT);
- The production of waste, taking into account the principles of precaution and prevention, and managing the storage areas in such a way as to ensure the protection of soil and subsoil;
- The consumption of non-renewable energy sources, preferring the use of alternative or renewable sources, also in relation to the technologies available, in continuous evolution;
- Assess the environmental and health and safety impacts of the activities on workers with a broader vision also oriented to the life cycle, promoting the optimization of the use of resources and the development of the circular economy;
- Planning and pursuing its objectives, verifying their achievement and implementing, if necessary, the appropriate corrective actions;
- Adopt all technological and management measures to prevent and respond to emergencies;
- Disseminate the culture of Environmental Protection and Safety in the company, through the information, training and training of all staff to respect the rules, operational and behavioural, making it aware of the importance of each action for achieving the expected results and their responsibilities;
- Maintain or promote an open dialogue with local communities and authorities;
- Sensitize suppliers and involve them in the environmental management system and for health and safety at work.
All activities of staff, managers and suppliers/collaborators must comply with the ethical principles established in the Code of Ethics in terms of legality, loyalty, fairness, good faith, value of human resources and respect for the person, gender equality and child labour, and respect for the market.
